Professional Experience

Alberto Quintana Pineda is an associate at G&B Law, LLP. Mr. Quintana’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, and business transactions. Professional Experience

Michael J. Conway has an extensive background as a litigator, transactional attorney, and in-house general counsel. Mr. Conway’s clients include corporations, closely-held businesses, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and shareholders. His industry experience includes real estate, banking, healthcare, restaurants, franchises, educational products, Internet sales and marketing, advertising, and telemarketing.

Mr. Conway handles a wide range of business-related disputes, including complex contract, business fraud, real estate, partnership, intellectual property, employment, and bankruptcy litigation. During his more than four-year tenure as in-house counsel for an educational products marketing corporation with more than 20 inter-related companies in multiple states, Mr. Conway routinely handled a variety of litigation matters, including the defense of a $478 million lawsuit filed against the companies and owners by the Federal Trade Commission.

Mr. Conway provides guidance to business owners and executives on many substantive issues, including contract negotiations, leasing, labor and employment matters, and regulatory, advertising and licensing issues. His significant experience as both a litigation and transactional attorney provides his clients with a unique perspective on successfully managing brands, growth, competition, marketing, acquisitions, and capital.

Representative Matters

Represented heirs of a deceased partner in a general partnership dispute. Successfully arbitrated issues of dissociation and payment of full market value at over twice the amount offered by the partnership.

Represented minority shareholder in a breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit against majority shareholder of private school. Obtained a multi-million dollar settlement after an 8-day trial.

Represented restaurant owner in dispute with landlord over lack of parking and breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing. Obtained a $1.8 million judgment in bifurcated judicial reference action.

Represented dentist in arbitration over sale of dental practice and dispute regarding terms of sale. Obtained arbitration award exceeding $700,000.

Represented hotel owner in successfully mediating and settling lawsuit for alleged violations of Americans With Disabilities Act relating to use of service animals at hotel.

Arthur A. Greenberg is Of Counsel to G&B Law, LLP and focuses his practice primarily on business-related matters, with a particular emphasis on the representation of lenders and other creditors in transactional, bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters, and on asset allocation, asset protection, and debt replacement matters for debtors. His clients include local, national and international entities. Mr. Greenberg also serves as a fiduciary for selected out of court adjustments and specialized trustee appointments.

Mr. Greenberg served as Managing Partner of Greenberg & Bass for 22 years. A frequently requested lecturer, Mr. Greenberg has addressed numerous credit organizations on a variety of issues, and has provided expert testimony in bankruptcy and commercial matters at trial and in arbitration. Jeremy H. Rothstein is a Partner with G&B Law, LLP. He helps small and mid-sized businesses navigate financial distress, bankruptcy, and litigation. Clients value his clear explanations, practical solutions, and forceful advocacy when it counts. His approach is result-oriented and pragmatic: understand each client’s unique goals and challenges, tailor the right strategy, build a persuasive case, and stay focused on achieving the best possible outcomes in court and through negotiation.

Jeremy has represented debtors, creditors, committees, and asset purchasers in chapter 11 reorganization and chapter 7 liquidation cases across a range of industries, in cases throughout the country. While he appreciates the tools available in bankruptcy, he also works with clients to avoid it whenever possible, through settlements, debt workouts, and other solutions.

In his business litigation practice, Jeremy represents both plaintiffs and defendants in contract disputes, business divorces, fraud claims, unpaid loans, and other matters. He also serves as outside general counsel to companies in the video game industry.

Before joining G&B in 2019, Jeremy practiced at a global law firm in New York and a mid-sized regional firm in Santa Monica.

Representative Matters

Jeremy has represented, among others:

A commercial laundry company in the successful sale of substantially all assets through chapter 11 bankruptcy, to continue as a going concern.

The buyer of substantially all assets of a technology company in chapter 11, overcoming opposition from the company’s management.

The City of San Bernardino in implementing its complex bankruptcy plan and resolving hundreds of claims.

The holder of a fourth deed of trust on an apartment complex, defeating two adversary proceedings brought by a chapter 11 debtor, ultimately achieving payment of principal, interest, and attorney’s fees.

A hotelier in the defense of a $10 million suit brought by a former business partner. After a three-week trial, the client defeated the suit and prevailed on his own counterclaim.

Landlords of national retailers in several large chapter 11 cases.

A nationwide unofficial committee of barbershop franchisees in the chapter 7 bankruptcy case of their franchisor. The franchisees purchased intellectual property of the franchisor, allowing them to move forward in control of their own destinies.
